Saturdays are for road trips

How was your weekend? I hope it was amazing.

I spent mine mostly in the backseat of a car staring at trees and watching the ocean pass me by. Long rides are kind of therapeutic, at least for me. Your body is well taken care of and you can just sit back, daydream, your mind is free to wander. While on the road I also saw this amazingly huge Balete tree covered with Cadena de Amor. It was so beautiful that I still regret every minute not taking a photo of it. I actually searched for it when we were on our way home but I could no longer find it. I died a little. Lesson learned.

It was an impromptu road trip / beach trip. I didn't even get to pack properly but it was fun nonetheless. After I ate dinner I was too exhausted to stay up and talk, so I layed down in this tiny hut with doors open and could see the moon shining brightly. At first I thought it was a fisherman's boat light because it was just so bright. It would have been perfect if not for our inconsiderate neighbors who kept singing Laklak into the wee hours in the morning. I didn't get much sleep. I went out around 6 AM for a morning swim and it was very peaceful.

Sometimes I wish a pretty girl would go on these trips with me. For those who are reading this and might be interested, email me. I will plan something in the future. Nice girls only, okay?

Hello Film

My second roll of film. I try hard not to make this a flower-fest but sometimes I'll just have to indulge myself.

I got a new (old) film camera a few weeks ago and I needed to test if it was still working properly. I was really thankful that my cousins were eager to do an impromptu shoot with me (more of that on my next post). It was my first time doing a shoot with a film camera and I was really excited. I use p&s and lomo cameras but using a full manual camera was definitely a treat.
